Rescues
Our aim:
We provide training to a dog who has come from a rescue and are due to transition into their forever home. We help this transition by giving the dog basic obedience training with the aim that this training will prevent dog's being surrendered after adoption.
Requirements:
Selected dog's ideally will have an adopter lined up.
If there is an adopter they must be onboard and willing to be involved in their dogs training process.
If the dog is with a foster they must be committed to the training and able to maintain training session and home work.
If the dog is in board and train with DogsTrainHome.com the rescue must have a backup plan, like a foster, should the adopter serenaders the dog during training.
Rescues to post on social media about Dog's Train Home to help the charities reach.
Assessment:
1 hour assessment with a trainer.
Dog's being pulled from a shelter:
Because the trainers we use can not assess the dog inside the shelter we require three months' funds to be available before we agree to help with a board and train, so please call to discuss our current fund amount. This is because the shelter notes can not be trusted and we can not rely on them, therefore we require three months of funding as a worst case.
After the dog has been pulled, an assessment process will be carried out. The rescue must have a suitable place for the dog to go should the dog be determined as people aggressive and can not be homed with the selected adopter.
Waivers:
Waivers are signed before handling the dog for all parties present at the assessment.
Footnote:
Our trainers have worked with shelter dogs from the kill list, and aggressive dogs with positive results. However, we as a charity do not make any claims that our trainers can train any dog. If a trainer feels that a dog is outside of their scope of training our trainers are within their rites to stop training and unused funds will be returned. This is why we require rescues to have a backup plan for all types of dogs should the dog be surrendered by the adopter before training ends.

Donation
Donation allocation is our utmost priority. Donations are for the training of dogs or educational help for members. The charity can not pay for boarding without training, so if a dog's training ends the dog must be returned to the rescue immediately.
