Sky’s Story

At two months old Sky was taken to the shelter by an old man. The shelter was closed and Nikki from Madlove rescue happened to be there. She told the old man the shelter was closed but he didn’t speak good english and said “no want dog”. So Nikki took the man of the shelters property and agreed to take the dog from him, possibly saving a puppy from being let lose or tied to a post somewhere. Sky is now 1 yr old 

Nikki for Madlove rescue is personally fostering Sky. He is a dog with high excitement that would benefit from some basic obedience training.

Dog’s Train Home heard about his story and has offered 6 weeks training from trainer, Troy who completed a prison dog training program. Troy has been working for a highly recognized dog training and day care facility and is now hoping to kick start his own private business. Whoever adopts sky will receive 2 free training session with to help the adoption process. All sessions are funded by Dog’s Train Home.

Session 1 July 4th

Sky’s First Training Session with Troy
Sky, is high-drive, he had his very first training session with our lead trainer, Troy. His energy and excitement were through the roof, making it tough for him to settle her mind — a common challenge for working breeds like Sky.

Troy worked closely with Nikki, Sky’s dedicated foster from Mad Love Rescue, focusing on leash work and body language. By helping Nikki understand how to guide Sky with calm, confident handling, they made big strides in communication and control.
