Building the Foundation. The First 90 Days helps members handle essential reentry needs and prepare for their next step.
Support may include:
• ID, DMV and Social Security needs
• Transportation and banking
• Technology and computer skills
• Resume and employment preparation
• HR, tax and small-business basics

Track 2
DOGWORKS
Building Real Experience. Dogworks connects members with professional trainers, rescue partners and dogs that need training.
Members gain practical, hands-on experience while developing the skills needed to work professionally.
Members can:
• Work alongside Mentor Trainers
• Train rescue dogs
• Build handling and behavior skills
• Gain documented training hours
• Work with fosters, adopters and rescues
• Build a professional portfolio
The Goal: Learn. Practice. Build experience.
Track 3
GRADUATE / PASS OUT
Taking the Career Into the Community. This track helps graduates begin working as dog trainers in the communities where they want to build their future.
DTH connects graduates with rescue dogs needing ongoing training and pays the graduate for their work.
Graduates can build:
• Paid training experience
• Rescue and client relationships
• Professional references
• Photos and videos for their portfolio
• Local reputation and referrals
• Independent business opportunities

The first 90 days after release are often the hardest, and even a little help can mean the difference between falling back or moving forward. Our Reentry Support Program is designed for individuals returning home with a prison dog training certificate—or those who want to start a new career as a dog trainer now that they are out. Mentor placement not only gives hands on real world training but the quality of mentors and certification hours are a huge benefit within the dog training community. This will set the foundation to kickstart any dog training career.
